Policies

WORKSHOP SAFETY.

Effective date: 1 September 2026 All policies

Cosmetics Club workshops and experiences are designed to be fun, creative and educational, while keeping safety at the centre of the experience.

1.Follow instructions

Participants must follow the instructions provided by Cosmetics Club facilitators and staff.

Ingredients, equipment and materials must only be used for their intended purpose.

2.Adult supervision

Children and younger participants must be appropriately supervised.

Where a parent, guardian, teacher or other responsible adult is required to remain present, that person remains responsible for supervising the child or children in their care.

3.Allergies and sensitivities

Participants or their parent/guardian should tell us about any relevant allergies, sensitivities or ingredient concerns before an activity begins.

Participants should not use ingredients they know they are allergic or sensitive to.

4.Personal safety

Participants should:

keep ingredients and materials away from their eyes and mouth;
wash their hands as instructed;
avoid eating or drinking while handling cosmetic-making materials;
follow all equipment instructions; and
immediately tell a facilitator if something spills or if they feel uncomfortable or unwell.

5.Clothing

Participants should wear clothing suitable for a hands-on creative activity.

Cosmetics Club is not responsible for ordinary clothing damage resulting from participants failing to follow instructions or taking reasonable precautions.

6.Special requirements

Please tell us in advance about any relevant accessibility, medical, allergy or other safety consideration that may affect participation so that we can discuss appropriate arrangements.

7.Unsafe behaviour

Cosmetics Club may ask a participant to stop an activity if their behaviour creates a safety risk to themselves or others.

8.Responsibility

Our facilitators will take reasonable steps to provide a safe workshop environment, but participants must also follow safety instructions and act responsibly.

This policy does not exclude or limit any legal duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
